C L Murphy lives on the very westerly edge of co Clare, Ireland, with her partner and an ageing Labrador called Harry. Over the years, she’s worked as a nanny, a pub cleaner, a bean picker, a journalist and a gigging musician, until arthritis gave her the time to write fiction. She’s had short stories and poems published in UK, Ireland and USA, including UNCLEAN in The Stinging Fly, which was also recorded by RTÉ radio 1.
In the name of research, Catherine has shot guns, watched an autopsy, held a human brain, graffitied a wall, skinned a rabbit and climbed a very small mountain. She has a tendency to meet wolves.
