Michael Alcock began his publishing career at Oxford University Press, and was publishing director at Macmillan, Aurum Press and Boxtree before founding his own literary agency in 1997. Michael Alcock Management merged with the John Johnson Agency in 2003 to form Johnson & Alcock.

Michael's client list covers non-fiction mainly in the fields of history and biography, current affairs, memoir, food, lifestyle and culture, as well as general fiction.

Andrew Hewson left theatre management to become John Johnson’s assistant in January 1969. He subsequently acquired the John Johnson Agency, which he ran with his wife Margaret Hewson from their offices in Clerkenwell for over thirty years. The agency merged with Michael Alcock Management in 2003 to form Johnson & Alcock.

Andrew’s many clients include novelists, biographers, historians, poets and playwrights, and the majority of the agency’s Estates.

Anna Power first joined Michael Alcock Management in 2001. Her interests include literary and well-written commercial fiction, and general non-fiction, with particular focus on history and popular culture. She is also developing Johnson & Alcock's children's list. Anna was secretary of the Association of Author's Agents from 2004 to 2006.

Ed Wilson joined Johnson & Alcock in 2007, after working at various publishing houses around London. His list includes crime, commercial and literary fiction, teen and YA writing, and quirky non-fiction. He is also interested in books on sport, science fiction, and graphic novels, and handles the majority of the agency's Estates.
