Claire McGowan grew up in Northern Ireland, then studied English and French at Hertford College, Oxford. She spent two years living in France and China before moving to London to work in the charity sector. Her debut thriller THE FALL was shortlisted for the 2010 Sony eReader Award and will be published by Headline in February 2012. She is currently working on her second novel and is Director of the Crime Writer’s Association.
