Stefan Mohamed is an author, performing poet and sometime journalist. He graduated from Kingston University with a first class degree in creative writing and film studies, and later that year won the inaugural Sony Reader Award (part of the Dylan Thomas Prize) for his debut novel Bitter Sixteen, which was also a Times Book of the Week.

The Bitter Sixteen Trilogy (Bitter Sixteen, Ace of Spiders and Stanly's Ghost) was published by Salt Publishing, and is currently being developed for TV. He was hailed by the Guardian in 2018 as one of the Fresh Voices: 50 writers you should read now, and continues to live and write in Bristol.
