Emma Morgan was born in Guernsey where she learnt to read and write from the horses’ names pinned up in her father’s betting office. She went to university in Liverpool, France and Essex, and spent five years teaching English in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She is part of the inaugural group of Penguin Random House’s WriteNow scheme which has been set up to encourage writers from diverse backgrounds to tell their stories. She is back in Liverpool working on her first novel, A Love Story for Bewildered Girls.
