Tamsin Blanchard is a journalist and author, specialising in fashion and design. In 1998 she launched, published and co-edited IT, a limited edition fashion and visual arts bi-annual magazine. She started working as a fashion editor at The Independent, became the Observer Style Editor in 1999 and in 2005 moved on to become Style Director at the Daily Telegraph Magazine.  As the V&A Magazine’s fashion correspondent, she regularly writes features, and she is also a contributing editor to 10 Magazine. She has been invited to teach fashion students at University of Westminster, as well as the MA Fashion Journalism degree at Central Saint Martins.

Her books include Dressing Diana (1998) with Tim Graham, The Shoe: Best Foot Forward (2000), Fashion and Graphics (2003), and the popular Habitat book Love Your Home (2004). She has also written the cutting edge eco-fashion book Green is the New Black, published in 2007 with a foreword by supermodel Lily Cole. Perfectly predicting and aligning with eco-awareness in fashion, the book sold in six territories around the world.  Tamsin lives in East London with her husband and two children.
