Lydia Brayshaw grew up in a small town on the edge of Dartmoor, where her obsession with gothic tales and myths began. She left home at eleven to train with The Royal Ballet School, spending most of her time hiding in the library, before pursuing acting. In 2024 she won Best Actor at the São Paulo Film Festival for her role in Twenty.
Lydia also writes for TV and film, and is currently working on her debut novel, Mona.
