Shauna Lawless is an author and lover of magical, historical fantasy fiction.

Inspired by her childhood passion for Irish history and mythology, she has spent the last six years learning the craft of writing, and obsessing about Irish myths, famous druids and warriors, and Irish traditions. The Children of Gods and Fighting Men, her first novel in The Gael Song Trilogy, was published by Head of Zeus in 2022. The second instalment, The Words of Kings and Prophets, was released in Autumn 2023. The trilogy was completed with The Land of the Living and the Dead (2024). Daughter of the Otherworld, an epic new historical fantasy set in the same tumultuous, magical world of medieval Ireland, was published in 2025.

She lives in County Down with her husband, three boys, and her loveable sproodle, Chewy.
