Martin Williams is an art and fashion historian with a passion for early twentieth century royalty and high society.

He’s worked at Christie’s, Bonhams and Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and is a regular contributor to Country Life. He currently has a loyal following on his Instagram account @disraeli81, which covers royalty, aristocracy, dress, jewellery, art, architecture and interiors.

Martin is the author of William Wolfe’s Guide to Excellent Living in London, and his next book, on the death of King Edward VII and its impact on British society, was published in 2023. His latest title, Claridge’s: Queen of Hotels, Hotel of Kings, will be released in October 2026.
