Dr Selena Daly is a Lecturer in Italian Studies at University College London. She was previously a Senior Lecturer in European History at Royal Holloway, University of London and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Dr Daly is the author of Italian Futurism and the First World War (University of Toronto Press, 2016) and Emigrant Empire: The Italian Diaspora in the First World War and Beyond (under contract with Cambridge University Press). She has published widely on aspects of Italian culture, history and emigration. Her writing has appeared in the Irish Times and The Guardian and she has been interviewed for BBC Radio 3’s Free Thinking and BBC Radio 4’s Archive on 4. She has organised public engagement events with many partners in the cultural sector, including The Irish Museum of Modern Art (Dublin), the National Maritime Museum and Tate Modern (both London). She is a board member of the non-profit Migration Collective, which organises the annual London Migration Film Festival.
