Jess Hyslop studied English at the University of Cambridge, and was awarded the Quiller-Couch prize for creative writing upon graduation. Her winning story ‘Augury’ was subsequently published by Shortfire Press.
Since then, Jess’s short fiction has appeared in periodicals such as Interzone, Daily Science Fiction, and Mirror Dance, and she was selected for Salt Publishing’s The Best British Fantasy 2014 anthology.
After a stint in Corpus Christi College’s magnificent Parker Library, keeping company with rare books and manuscripts, Jess is now based in Chichester where she is training to be a book conservator.
