Miranda Keeling is an author, actor and coach whose collection of prose-poetry, The Year I Stopped to Notice, was published in 2022. Philip Pullman described the book as ‘a delight. . . full of little surprises, momentary little fountains of pleasure and beauty, that could be visible to all of us if we learned to stop and notice.’

Miranda originally trained as an artist with a degree in glassmaking – creating miniature sculptures in cast glass – and all her work shares her enduring interest in the small details and ordinary moments that make up the every-day. She first started sharing her observations on Twitter, where she now has over 27,000 followers. In 2022 she launched a podcast called Stopping to Notice which has been a ‘Pick of the Week’ in the Guardian, reviewed in The Observer as well as featured by Apple in their round-up of best new podcasts. Miranda has written articles for and been interviewed for various publications and programmes including The Scotsman, Metro, BBC Radio 3’s ‘The Verb’ and ‘Radio 5 Live.’ She has also written plays and screenplays which include Panphobia at Stratford Circus Theatre, and Sweet Porridge for Little Angel Theatre.

‘I really love this book. Enchanting from start to finish.’ – Joanna Lumley
